"New" Table

Our "new" dining room table. I found it at an estate sale of one of my mom's neighbors. She was the sweetest thing and just recently went to live in a nursing home. She lived on her own well into her 90's!

They originally wanted $125 for it (yikes!) but I paid $40. It was a little more than I wanted to spend, but I knew it was for a great lady. I even had to "fight" other people off of it!
It is in GREAT condition, and I love the legs. My sister in law gave me some chairs (not pictured) that I am going to refinish and they will be just perfect here!

One day I hope to show you pictures of the dining room that don't have my husband's tools on the floor in them! *sigh* All in good time.

My mom has the exact table! It belonged to my great-grandmother and can extend out to fit over 20 people. It's wonderful! It looks beautiful and will be a great addition to your home. Just think, 60 years from now, some young 'un might be buying it from your estate sale. =)

Hi Andrea!
From what I can tell by the pictures, that is a Duncan Phyfe table--it is worth MUCH more than $40. It is an American classic.
It's beautiful!
I have a Duncan Phyfe in my dining room, too!!
I bought mine at a yard sale for $75 if it makes you feel any better!
Good choice. It is quality furniture, that as Adoption Mission: Possible said: "60 years from now, some young 'un might be buying it from your estate sale. =)"
