Roses

We inherited some beautiful roses when we bought the house. They have been my spot of sunshine since the real sun has been MIA for way, way too long!

I have no idea what kind they are, but they are long stemmed and have little to no thorns. The only bummer is that they have little to no fragrance, too.

They sure have been a bright spot in an otherwise gray, cold, wet year so far.

Oh! What a gorgeous color!!
I had to add roses to my yard, because there were none when we moved in--then they just got eaten by bugs, so we took them out--I miss them!
Your new banner is awesome!!
When are you going to be done with your kitchen?
Did you get your beadboard backsplash up yet? And are you using the real thing? ;)

Hey Andrea. What stunning roses. That colour, along with yellow, is my favourite for roses. Thanks for the comment about my "Furniture Revamp" post. To answer your question, the typography I added in that particular pic was done with a stencil I made myself from old x-rays! I've also just printed off graphics directly from my computer onto standard white paper then cut around them and stuck them straight on. You can also use transfer paper then iron straight onto timber (rather than fabric as usual). Of course there's also free-hand painting though this can be tricky if there are lots of very straight lines! Decal paper is another option (you can buy decal paper to use at home and print images onto it with your normal printer) or bought vinyls. So many choices!!! There are more options though I think that's probably enough to begin with! :-)
Have a lovely weekend.
